Night Standing
- Years
- 2016
You play Inès
The years pass: a Socialist is elected President in 2012, and in 2015 terrorist attacks strike the city twice and a state of emergency is declared. In the spring of 2016, against a new labour law, Inès, a nursing student, joins a movement that meets every night in a big square to debate until dawn, with no leaders and everything streamed live.
Mission 1: 31 March 2016
The Square
- Turns
- 8 turns, a day each
Keep the nightly assembly going for eight nights, through rain, rivals and police dispersals. It must never fall to zero.
Objective
The assembly held every night for eight nights
How it can end
- The assembly met every night.
- The square was cleared for good.
Mission 2: 20 April 2016
The Stream
- Turns
- 10 turns, a day each
The livestream has a million viewers. Decide who controls it: keep it open and the assembly's own, take a party's offer of cameras and presenters (with six of its people on the team, the stream is theirs), or let it fade.
Objective
Keep the stream alive to the end
How it can end
- The stream stayed open, chaotic and free.
- A party took over the stream.
- The stream faded away.
