The Revolution

Lena Vos, a dancer the papers call a spy, is hidden in one of five western districts, and the trial is meant to show that the government is winning the secret war. Prove instead that it is hiding the army's failures: gather 3 intel at the War Ministry in Saint-Germain or at the Louvre before the trial ends. Each try succeeds 45% of the time.

Objective

Gather 3 intel tokens before the trial ends

Stars

  1. Win the level
  2. Win within 7 turns
  3. No help from the Enemy Agents

The game's hint Intel needs a street unit at Saint-Germain or the Louvre, once a turn. Hiding Lena again needs her district. Asking the Enemy Agents gives one intel at once, and sets the Treason flag.

The Law

Find Lena Vos, hidden somewhere among Chaillot, the Palais-Royal, Saint-Germain, Passy and Batignolles: reveal her, arrest her and convict her by day 10. Counter-spies reveal, soldiers and police arrest. Gather evidence first if you want the verdict to rest on more than a confession.

Objective

Find Lena Vos and convict her by turn 10

Stars

  1. Win the level
  2. Win within 7 turns
  3. A conviction with evidence (2 tokens), not a confession

The game's hint Lena moves among the five districts until she is found. Counter-spies have a chance each turn to reveal the units around them. Each counter-spy can gather one evidence token a turn; two make a real case.

The Dancer

In 1917 the Second Bureau put a dancer on trial as a spy, to show that it was winning the secret war.

One way “The Dancer” can end

The court convicted Lena Vos behind closed doors.

Otherwise

The case against Lena Vos fell apart, and the papers asked what else the army had been hiding.

If the Law chose “Carry out the sentence”

She was shot at Vincennes at dawn, and the soldiers were not told what she had been accused of.

If the Law chose “Commute it”

The sentence was commuted, and the Allies noted the government's restraint.

If the Revolution chose “Campaign for her”

The movement campaigned for her, and the satirists drew her as a scapegoat.

Otherwise

The movement kept its distance from her, and the police lost interest in it for a while.
