Inès, nursing student
After the finale of chapter 11: Paper FortunesBreak the seal
Inès is a nursing student in her second year, on placement in a hospital in the north of the city that never has enough beds or staff. In November 2015 she was on shift the night the attacks struck the city, and she has not wanted to talk about it since.
In the spring of 2016 the government pushed a new labour law through parliament without letting it come to a vote. One evening people gathered on a big square to talk about it and decided not to go home. Inès went to see, stayed until dawn, and came back the next night. She is shy, sharp, and has found she does not mind speaking to a thousand strangers if she has something to say.
