Maxime Roux, truck driver and accidental spokesman
Maxime Roux drives a delivery truck between the warehouses of the Beauce and the supermarkets of the outer ring, forty hours a week and many more in December. He has two children, a mortgage on a house far from any station, and a car he cannot do without.
When the fuel tax was announced he posted a video from his cab, angry and funny, and by morning a million people had watched it. Since then he has been a spokesman nobody elected, invited on television and shouted at on social media, and he is still not sure what he is supposed to ask for when the government finally receives him.
