How to play
The newspaper
Each turn may bring news, printed in the chapter's newspaper or sent by telegram or radio.
Some news comes on a set turn of a level: the story's events. When none is due, there is a 35% chance each turn of other news from the chapter's pool.
Most news changes something at once. Some asks each side a question: you answer yours and the other side answers its own, and until you have, the game will not end your turn: “Answer the newspaper first.”
News marked “Inspired by real events” is drawn from the city's real history in those years.
